Who's Your Favorite Bay Area Personality?

As that Italian crooner Dean Martin said so many years ago, "Everybody Loves Somebody, Sometime." And as George Thorogood & the Destroyers sang some years later, "Who Do You Love?" It's a fair question. My wife and I wake up every morning with Gayle Guyardo on WFLA. (We've been watching her since way back when she was with a little, itty, bitty UHF station in Sarasota -- Channel 66, I think it was.) We get a kick out of how she, Bill Ratliff and John Winter get along. But then, hey, that's just us. What about you? Who is YOUR favorite Bay Area Personality & Why? Please share your thoughts. Provoke some of your fellow Bay Area viewers and readers to agree or disagree with you. It’s a free country. Let’s use some of that freedom, OK?

No offense, but who cares about a "personality?" That's not what the news business is about. Why not ask who your favorite journalist/columnist is? Granted, that excludes TV news, but they're not real journalists anyway.

The morning team on News Channel 8 is who I wake up to every morning, and don't forget to add the traffic reporter. She's actually the only traffic reporter that is seen on camera in the market, to my knowledge. A great chemistry

I like the team you do, as far as personal dynamics. I also respect John Winters' integrity. He was the only local weatherman who didn't get into the "let's whip up some panic" spirit, when they started it a few years ago. He actually stated his own opinion, after giving the required crap from the National Whether (intentionally spelled thus) "Service".
